When do I pay my expenses out of the Line of Credit?

Estimated reading: 1 minute 97 views

We recommend that you use a credit card to pay for your living expenses, at least as much as possible. By doing that, and paying your credit card in full every month, you’ve effectively used money for thirty days without interest. When that bill is due, you just pay for it with money from your HELOC.

When you have a bill that won’t accept credit cards, just pay them when they’re due.

To save every penny that you can with this program, you would pay any bills shortly before payday. That way you only have a day or three of an elevated HELOC balance. Once you put your paycheck back into the HELOC, the balance and the interest charges will come down.
